Salomon Rondon's brilliant response to Alan Shearer's Premier League accolade

Salomon Rondon has reacted after Alan Shearer was inducted into the Premier League’s new Hall of Fame.

Shearer, Newcastle United’s all-time leading goalscorer, is one of the first players to receive the accolade.

And Rondon told of his “pride” at having worn the club’s revered No.9 jersey.

The 31-year-old tweeted: “I'll always be proud to have worn @alanshearer's shirt for a season. Congratulations on your place in the @premierleague Hall of Fame!”

Rondon plays for CSKA Moscow on loan from Dalian Professional.
