Cody Gakpo’s exploits with the Netherlands at the World Cup have made him one of European football’s hottest prospects. Gakpo netted in all three of his country’s group stage games and has nine goals and twelve assists in just 14 Eredivisie appearances this season.

This stunning form has seen clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United all linked with a move for the 23 year old. Gakpo previously revealed to De Telegraaf that although he will return to PSV following the World Cup, his future remains uncertain.

Gakpo said: “As it stands now, I will still be playing for PSV after the winter break. But as I said before the start of the World Cup, we will see what will happen.”

The Dutch club have now reportedly named their price for the winger - and unsurprisingly it would take a club-record fee for PSV to consider selling Gakpo. Sporting director Marcel Brands, formerly of Everton, said: “Only ten to twelve clubs can afford Cody Gakpo in January.

“Let’s see if it will happen – it has to be PSV’s record sale, and also the right bid for Cody’s plans. We still have no official bids. Let’s see if some club will pay big money in January.”

Liverpool ‘interested’ in Christian Pulisic

According to reports from 90min.com, Liverpool have joined a host of clubs from around Europe that are interested in signing Christian Pulisic in January. The report states that Newcastle and Liverpool are interested in a loan deal for the USA international, however, Chelsea are reluctant to allow Pulisic to join one of their rivals.

Interest from his former club Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan may tempt Chelsea into offloading the winger, however.

Armando Broja injury news

Elsewhere at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have confirmed that Armando Broja will miss the rest of the season after sustaining an ACL injury. The 21 year old has also been linked with a loan move to St James’s Park.
