TeamTalk suggest that Crystal Palace midfielder James McCarthy is on the radar of the Magpies, with the 30-year-old set to see his contract at Selhurst Park this season.

That has alerted a number of clubs – with Newcastle, Celtic and Burnley all reportedly keen on a switch.
