Pools manager Colin Cooper has made two changes, with the injured Jack Compton missing and Jonathan Franks on the bench at Victoria Park.

Harewood will partner top scorer Charlie Wyke up front for third-bottom Pools against bottom-side Carlisle.

Meanwhile, Holden will play left wing for the home side as Cooper’s team lines up in a 4-4-2 formation.

Pools - desperate for a win - go into the game on the back of a goalless draw with Portsmouth last weekend, while Keith Curle’s Cumbrian side beat Tranmere Rovers 1-0 last weekend.

There is no return to Victoria Park for Antony Sweeney, the midfielder left the club in the summer to sign for Carlisle.

But he misses out today with a shoulder injury.

Pools (4-4-2): Flinders, Duckworth, Harrison, Bates, Austin, Brobbel, Miller, Walker, Holden, Wyke, Harewood.
