On a day when four games beat the bad weather, Hall Farm’s 12th success of the season moved them up into second place in the table, 10 points behind leaders Durham City Reserves with two games in hand.

Martin Hope maintained his recent good form for Hall Farm, striking twice, with Dan Smith and sub Dean Smith also on the scoresheet, while Josh Tuckwell was man of the match.

Stephen Agnew bagged a couple for Blackhill, with Daniel Parker also netting and Richy Parkin their star man.

Leaders Durham City Reserves were held to a hard-fought 2-2 draw by Redcar Town, who sit fourth, 13 points behind but with five games in hand.

Andrew Brown and star man Mathew Huntley notched for City, but Stuart Poulter and sub Alex Anderson made it all square.

Oddies enjoyed a fine 3-1 victory at Hartlepool Reserves to kick off their year in fine fashion.
