To meet the growing demands of the digital economy, the University has launched two new Digital Degree Apprenticeships offering seven specialised pathways:
- BSc (Hons) Digital Technology Solutions Professional (Integrated Degree Apprenticeship): With specialisms including Software Engineering, Business Analysis, IT Consultant and Cybersecurity, this programme equips apprentices with advanced technical skills directly aligned with their career goals.
- BSc (Hons) Data Scientist (Integrated Degree Apprenticeship): Designed to develop high-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities, this course prepares learners for success in data-driven roles while they earn and gain practical experience.
Degree apprenticeships at the University of Sunderland make higher education more accessible and inclusive. With tuition fees funded through the employer’s apprenticeship levy (or partially funded), apprentices earn while they learn—widening participation and promoting talent development across industries. Whether recruiting new employees or upskilling existing staff, employers benefit from programmes that deliver real impact.
