With NHS dentist availability hard to find, many people in an around Sunderland are looking at viable alternatives.

What’s the difference between an NHS and a private dentist?

The most obvious one is cost – the NHS partly funds any treatments, although some people are exempt and pay nothing. However, NHS practices taking on new patients can be hard to find, and waiting lists are often very long. Some NHS practices are now taking on private patients, but they often don’t have the same facilities as a private clinic.

At a private clinic all treatments are chargeable, but at City Dental we have monthly payment schemes to spread the cost of routine cover, and can help you finance more complex treatments. We do individual plans and family policies.

What makes City Dental different?

We are proud to have invested massively in our teams and our equipment and we offer state-of-the-art services all under one roof. We have fully trained dentists, nurses, hygienists and technicians, all working on site. We are incredibly proud of the services we offer.

Is it convenient?

We think so! Because we are well staffed we can offer appointment times to suit you – often people are seen within days and treatment gets underway quickly. Your initial consultation to help you make an informed choice is always free.
