What a week that was for Sunderland.
Ten years ago this week, the city was buzzing with news of a new SAFC manager.
There was a military beach assault at Seaburn and spectacular sights at the 28th airshow. The Cheeky Girls were on Wearside and there was a multi-million pound new cinema on the way.
There was also the funeral of one of Sunderland’s best known characters The Spectre, 77 year old Brian Moore who was given a final journey through the city.
