The fourth series of the crown will hit Netflix on 15 November 2020, with numerous new faces appearing.

Olivia Colman will return as Queen Elizabeth II, alongside Tobias Menzies as Prince Phillip, Helena Bonham Carter portraying Princess Margaret, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles and Erin Doherty as Princess Anne.
Joining series four of the show will be Emma Corrin as Princess Diana, and Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher, as the show delves into the lives of the monarchy during the 1970s.
Tom Byrne will play the role of Prince Andrew, with Margaret Thatcher’s husband, Denis Thatcher, played by Stephen Boxer.

Hide AdRebecca Humphries and Freddie Fox will appear in the respective roles of Thatcher’s children, Carol and Mark Thatcher.
What storylines will season 4 depict?
Season three finishes in 1977, which is two years before Margaret Thatcher was elected as Prime Minister.
Gillian Anderson will play the role of Thatcher in season four, with her leadership and her relationship with the Queen central to the latest instalment of the show.

A new trailer for the upcoming series recently dropped, giving fans of the show a sneak peek of what to expect.
The trailer features the real voice of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Robert Runcie, delivering the speech from Charles and Diana’s royal wedding, playing out over snippets of the latest season.

The Crown first began with Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II and Matt Smith playing Prince Phillip, before Olivia Colman and Tobias Mendes replaced them in their roles.
Series five and six - which will be the final two seasons of The Crown - are set to show Imelda Staunton as the Queen, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce in the role of Prince Phillip, and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana.
