Woman's bag snatched in broad daylight street attack

A woman had her bag grabbed from her as she walked along a busy street.

Police in Chester-le-Street are appealing for help after the robbery victim was targeted as she walked along South Approach, in the Waldridge Road area of the town, at around 6pm on Monday.

Officers say the offender is described as being a white man, aged around 25 to 30, around 5ft 6in tall and was of skinny build and had unkempt appearance.

Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number DHM-23072018-0396.
