Woman taken to hospital after two-vehicle collision in Washington
A crash on a main Wearside road has led to a woman being taken to hospital.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the A1231 in Washington at its junction with The Galleries at 11.41am, today.
The Mercedes and VW Passat collided with each other leaving one person trapped.
Two crews from Washington attended and made both vehicles safe while paramedics treated one of the drivers.
A woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.
