South Bents Townswomen's Guild will support Tavistock Guild hosting the Sunderland Federation coffee morning tomorrow in St Mary's Church hall, Bridge Street, at 10am. Next Wednesday, March 9, the Guild AGM will at 7pm in Whitburn Methodist Church hall. Refreshments will be served after business is complete.

The Cultural Spring Choir, Singing with Music in the Minster, meets tonight in the Barnes Institute at 7.15pm. The current programme of weekly sessions finishes on March 15. All are welcome to attend and can join at any point during the current term. Musical knowledge is not required and a voluntary contribution of £2 per session would be welcome.

Whitburn Methodist Church is holding a Remembrance Service tomorrow for anyone who has suffered a bereavement during this past year. Tea and coffee will be served at 6pm before the 6.30pm service. All are welcome to attend.

Celebration of Women’s World Day of Prayer takes place in Whitburn Parish Church on Friday at 2pm. The theme this year is Receive Children, Receive Me, with the featured country being Cuba. Refreshments will be served and all, not just women, are welcome to attend.
