What's the weather going to be like for Friday's Sunderland Airshow 2018?
Friday morning brought deluges across Wearside ahead of the start of the 30th annual Sunderland Airshow.
While this summer's familiar sunshine soon returned, doubts over tonight's weather have led to the cancellation of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at 6.05pm.
According to experts at the Met Office, however, conditions will improve across Sunderland as the night continues.
Their latest forecast predicts late sunshine from 7pm onwards and only a five per cent chance of more rain.
