In my own experience, yes they can upset you.

They are in the business of caring and should behave that way.

I’m not going to ‘tell tales’ about anyone in particular but it can be with all age groups, and not just receptionists.

Might I add, I’ve always believed it’s nice to be nice and it’s a great pity people could not practice this in this field of work.

We all have to grow old and those in question should remember that what goes around comes around.
