We're not all '˜tree huggers'
I would like to thank the people of Barnes ward who voted Green.
From speaking to people across the city I know there are a growing number of people who share our fear and concerns for the future both here in Sunderland and across the UK and world beyond. From the dismantling of the NHS, continuing austerity cuts that hurt the poorest and weakest in society to allowing the ‘fat cats’ to avoid paying taxes. The Green Party is not all just about the environment; we are not all just ‘sandal wearing hippy tree huggers’. For the sake of our children and grandchildren, I fear for the future of our world.
