Weekend weather forecast for Sunderland as chilly temperatures set to continue

It won’t feel much warmer this weekend in Sunderland – but the winter sun will be making an appearance, according to Met Office forecasters.

Temperatures will rise to highs of 6C and 7C over the weekend as Sunderland is expected to receive a lot of sunshine – perfect weather for a lockdown walk near to your home.

Saturday, January 16, will be cloudy with spells of sunshine between 3pm until sunset.

Temperatures will rise to 7C by 3pm but it unfortunately won’t feel any warmer than 4C.

Sunday, January 17 will bring more winter rays as forecasters predict sunny spells throughout the day. Temperatures will rise to 6C by 2pm, but it will still feel cooler.

Cold winds are also forecast for Sunday with gusts expected to reach 27mph. It’s estimated to feel no warmer than 2C throughout the day – and as cold as -2C earlier in the morning.

A cloudy start to the week is predicted by forecasters, with rain to follow.
