Forecasters are predicting an overcast start to the day with some sunny spells expected throughout the morning and into the afternoon.
There is a chance that Wearside could see of some rain over the course of the morning but from 1pm onwards, the weather is predicted to stay dry.
Temperatures are expected to be around the 10°C mark however it will feel colder by the coast or on higher ground.
Saturday, March 27
A dry and bright start is forecast for Saturday with some sunny spells and temperatures settling around 9°C by midday.
Met Office forecasters are predicting an overcast afternoon however it is expected to remain dry with highs of 10°C.
Sunday, March 28
A wet start is expected on Sunday with light showers forecast to last from the early hours until around 10am, when we could see some sunny spells.
The weather is forecast to remain dry into the afternoon with temperatures reaching a high of 11°C.
