Forecasters are currently predicting a mixed week for Wearside, with a fair share of cloudy and overcast days – but don’t worry, there is some sun in sight.

Wednesday, April 15 and Thursday, April 16 are set to be the best days of the week, with highs of 17°C on Wednesday and not a cloud in the sky.

And while it’s due to be a bit grey, we can at least take solace in the fact that it’s not going to rain!

“Overnight frosts becoming less widespread. Friday cooler and cloudier but remaining fine.”

At present, Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18 are the worst days of our week. There will be lows of 6°C and no sun to speak of.

Going forward, the Met Office predicts that the region’s weather will remain settled, with dry weather and sunny spells in our future.
