Stunning sunrise captured on camera at Seaburn as swimmers take dip in the North East
This stunning sunrise was witnessed by early risers at Seaburn beach on Friday morning.
This was certainly one of those morning where it pays to be out and about while so many are still tucked in bed at home.
The sea swimmers pictured were among the early risers who saw this beautiful sunrise first hand on Friday, March 12 as the sun began to rise over the city t around 6.30am.
And while the city may have clouded over a bit more now, the sun is set to make an appearance again later today.
But unfortunately the bright and sunny weather isn’t here to stay just yet with a fairly overcast day forecast for Saturday, March 13.
The Met Office has forecast highs of 8C in Sunderland over the weekend and it is expected to stay dry across the city for the next two days.
Forecasters are predicting sunny spells on Sunday morning (March 14) and later in the afternoon from about 3pm.
