Latest weekend weather forecast and look ahead to Sunderland's match against Lincoln City

It will be a miserable and wet morning on Friday, March 19, with some patches of fog and mist before turning cloudy by the afternoon. There will be highs of just 7°C.

Saturday, March 20, will be the best day of the weekend, with plenty of sunshine at around 3pm – just in time for Sunderland’s meeting with Lincoln at the Stadium of Light.

The overcast morning will give way to a mix of sun and clouds by the afternoon, with highs of 13°C.

It will be a chilly night, as temperatures dip to just 5°C, but it will remain dry.

However the cloud will return on Sunday, March 21, remaining overcast throughout the day with highs of 9°C.

Overnight on Sunday will remain dry, with temperatures of 4°C.
