The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice tomorrow morning, Saturday, January 16 with temperatures dropping from midday, Friday, January 15..

“A band of rain and heavy snow may lead to travel disruption,” it says.

"There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.”

A band of rain spreading eastwards will bring a risk of snow and ice over night with a minimum temperature of -3 °C.

The yellow warning is in place until 6pm tomorrow, Saturday, January 16.
