We are our own city
I feel that Sunderland Hospital being amalgamated with South Shields Hospital is detrimental to the City of Sunderland.
Sunderland is much larger and a city compared to South Shields or perhaps the chief administrators of the two hospitals don’t realise that Sunderland is not a suburb of Tyneside and therefore our city or even river should be incorporated into the title.
