Washington keep up winning start to the Danby Autos Sunderland Snooker winter league

Stephen Thompson got Washington Snooker off to a good start before Dean Taylor levelled.

Norman Leslie moved Washington back into the lead before a 30-break helped Gavin Dixon increase the lead.

In an interesting pairs frame, Stuart Taylor/Ian McDermott built up a 51-point lead and looked certain to win the frame.

However, Norman Leslie/Gavin Dixon managed to get six snookers and pinch the frame on the final black to win 66-63 and claim a 4-1 win.

Lumley took on Biddick B and started well with Martin Ball winning the first frame.

Jimmy Jackson clinched the second frame against Peter Mills 63-43.

Trevor Walton started a comeback for Biddick, winning the third frame 68-15 before John Temple levelled the match in the next frame.

In the pairs, Sean Henderson/Brian Meuse halted the comeback with a win over Paul Cobb/Trevor Walton to secure the 3-2 win.

Steels welcomed Seaham Conservatives A and got off to an excellent start with Tommy Ayre winning the first frame against Gary Stockton 95-15.

Lee Norton got an excellent result potting well to beat Stephen Maratty in a close second frame and a 31-break helped Ray Charlton Junior win the third frame.

Michael Monaghan pulled one back for Seaham, before teaming up with Gary Stockton to win the pairs, beating Vince Flynn/Lee Norton 47-39 to reduce the defeat to 3-2.

John Danby got Glendale off to a good start away at Seaham Conservatives B.

Manna Singh levelled the match on the final black, before Jimmy Ashcroft won the third frame.

Colin Dobson increased Seaham’s lead before Justin Ebdy/Bobby Carne beat Paul Atkinson/Marc Smithson for an excellent 4-1 win.

The Victory got off to the perfect start at home to Mill View thanks to Darren Dowell.

A 36-break helped Gerry Porter increase the lead before Ray James won a high scoring third frame 85-55.

A 31-break helped Stephen Chandler pull one back, before John Spruce/Lee Dixon beat John Butler/Billy James to reduce the defeat to 3-2.

The match between South Hylton and Biddick A saw the singles alternate before South Hylton took the pairs for the overall 3-2 result.

Steven Tate won the first frame before Bobby Boyce dominated the second frame.

Graham Rutland moved Hylton into the lead, before Rod Turnbull levelled.

Ian Stewart/Adam Smith beat Graham Smith/Terry Froud in a high scoring frame 82-68 for the win.

The Hetton Centre and Murton Colliery match has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 16.
