Washington Old Hall is holding a story writing competition with a closing date of October 2. All you need to do is write a story inspired in some way by Washington Old Hall. You could possibly use part of its history or be based around someone you have heard lived there. Alternatively you may create your own characters and events to suit your own story. Four winners and four runner-ups will have their stories published in a special commemoration ebook. There are four age groups: eight to 12 years , 13 to 17 years , 18 to 25 years and 26 years plus. Email your entries, which must be no more than 1,000 words, to [email protected] or send direct to Washington Old Hall ensuring you state your contact details and your age.
