Vehicle fire closes A19 at Sunderland

The A19 is closed at one of its busiest Wearside junctions due to a vehicle fire.

The rioad is lcosed southbound at its Herrington interchange with the A690 Durham Road.

Traffic is being diverted over the A690 slip roads.
