Tributes paid to ‘lovely lady’ Jean Hardy who died days after being seriously hurt in Doxford crash

Jean Hardy, 71, was left fighting for her life in a critical condition in hospital following the incident, which happened in Doxford Park Way in Sunderland on Tuesday, February 4.

Sadly, days later, a Northumbria Police spokesperson confirmed that she had died and specially trained officers are currently supporting Jean’s family.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and police officers are continuing their appeal for any witnesses to come forward to help them with the investigation. The officers are keen to speak to any motorists who were driving in the area at the time or those who may have dash cam footage.
