Vehicle fire causes delays at A19 junction with A 690 Durham Road

North East Traffic News Tweeted shortly before 6.50pm this evening, Saturday, December 26, that a vehicle is on fire on the dual carriageway’s southbound exit with the A690 Durham Road.

Drivers should avoid the area and try to use an alternative route if possible.

It is not known whether anyone has been inured during the incident or how long it is likely to be before the road fully reopens.
