Sunderland Metro services disrupted as engineering work takes place

There are no trains between South Hylton and Pelaw until about 11.30am today (May 24) to allow for Network Rail engineering work.

After the planned work has ended, Metro services will remain suspended between St Peter’s and South Hylton for the rest of the day. This is due to emergency overhead line repairs at Sunderland.

A replacement bus, 901, will be running in the affected area.
