Metro travellers are facing delays of up to 30 minutes on key routes between both Newcastle Airport and South Hylton and St James and South Shields.

A message posted on Metro’s Twitter page shortly after 3pm on Saturday, June 27, read: “There are delays systemwide due to a failed train.”
