Rush hour lane closure on A19 after car transporter breaks down

Traffic was hit by delays on the A19 today, Thursday, November 12, after a car transport stalled earlier this morning.

One lane on the southbound carriageway was closed off to motorists and queues built up between the A182 Murton Interchange and A1086 Little Thorpe junction at Easington Village following the breakdown.

The issue was reported shortly before 7am, with the transporter stuck just passed the sliproad leading from the A182, causing traffic to back up towards the B1404 turn off at Seaton Lane in Seaham.
