The line‘s closure owes to Network Rail works taking place for the whole of Sunday, February 21.
Large parts of other main lines will also be out of action today, Sunday, February 21, owing to the works.
Aside from the Network Rail works taking place, major line closures will continue throughout the coming week, as Nexus completes a £30 million programme of wire renewals. Services are set to resume on Monday, March 1.

Metro bosses have said that the timetabling for other operational routes may be impacted by the works today.
Trains from Heworth to South Shields are, however, running.
In addition, the Airport to Regent Centre and St James to Four Lane Ends lines are also operating.
A replacement bus service, numbered 901, will be running along the South Hylton route.
Tyne and Wear Metro told travellers to “Leave extra time for your journey.”
