Metro service resumes after disruption between Monument, Jarrow and Brockley Whins

Metro service has resumed between Monument and Jarrow and Monument and Brockley Whins in both directions following a technical fault.

Nexus, which runs the system, says service has now resumed on the section between Monument and Jarrow and Monument and Brockley Whins in both directions following a technical fault.

A replacement Go North East bus service had been accepting Metro tickets while the incident was resolved.

The issue was reported at 7.20pm today, Tuesday, March 30, and was resolved by 8pm.

In a statement online, Nexus said: “The service between Monument and Jarrow and Monument and Brockley Whins has now resumed, trains are running subject to delay.”
