Gap in Metro service after ‘antisocial behaviour’ at Park Lane in Sunderland

Metro passengers have faced delays of up to 15 minutes after a gap in service to trains running between Pelaw – Airport and Airport – Kingston Park due to antisocial behaviour at Park Lane earlier this evening (June 15).

Tyne Wear Metro tweeted: “Due to antisocial behaviour at Park Lane we have a gap in service of up to 15 minutes to trains running between Pelaw - Airport and Airport - Kingston Park.

“We're sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

The gap in service was resolved by 9.10 pm, with Tyne and Wear Metro thanking passengers for their patience.

It tweeted: “The earlier gap in service has been resolved. Thank you for your patience.”
