Road closure due to an accident in South Tyneside

Emergency services are currently dealing with a two-vehicle accident in East Boldon.

The A184 Front Street is closed in both directions and traffic is moving very slowly.

Two vehicles are believed to have been involved in a serious accident between East Boldon Methodist Church to East Boldon Infant School.

A spokesman for Northumbria Police said they are dealing with an incident, but could not give any further details.
