One person taken to hospital after two-vehicle collision in Sunderland street

A patient was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital after a collision involving a car, a bike and a pedestrian.

The North East Ambulance Service confirmed it was called to Atkinson Road, Sunderland, at 2.45pm on Saturday, January 18 to reports of an incident.

It sent a rapid response vehicle and ambulance to the scene, transporting one patient to hospital.
