The road, which loops around the Moorside estate, is often used as a parking spot by workers at Doxford International Business Park.
Ray Bradshaw, who lives on the estate, says he first saw the fallen tree when he was out walking his dog at around 11am.
He said: “I couldn’t see the car from the far side of the bus stop but it does appear to have hit at least one car.”
