The four year-old stadium (described as “seeped in history” on SAFC’s website) has acquired an instant reputation for violence.

The good news is that tonight’s West Ham v Chelsea League Cup tie will surely do much to restore the good names of these equally delightful sets these fans.

Well it might. They can’t go on indefinitely allowing Evolution to be just something that happened to everyone else. Can they?

I fervently hope that Sunderland avoid relegation. But if the worst happens you can’t say it would be all bad. There are some clubs you just wouldn’t miss.
