Tony Gillan: Oh, if Sunderland supporters could have Arsenal fans' embarrassments
Arsenal are not having their greatest season and may or may not lose their manager. Their shortcomings were brutally laid bare by Bayern Munich last week and, ever keen to make the story about himself, the Times’ Henry Winter described them as a “laughing stock.”Those who dislike Arsenal may be tittering at present. But a laughing stock? They remain, as usual, in a Champions League spot, are a decent bet to win the FA Cup for the third time in four years and have money to spend.
We’re a tough lot in Sunderland and could probably handle that level of embarrassment.
