Three vehicles crash on Wessington Way near Northern Spire

On Tuesday, December 10, police officers were called to the scene of a crash on the road.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "We received a call at 11.32am to reports of a three vehicle collision.”

The incident took place westbound on approach to the Northern Spire Bridge junction.

Thankfully, the police have confirmed that no one has been injured.

Some delays are expected in the area as the road is cleared.
