Thousands enjoy Seaham fireworks

The annual display, which took place along the town’s coastline on Friday night, was hailed as the best one yet by event organisers, Seaham Town Council.

The popular event saw around 9,000 people come along to enjoy the free entertainment, which included fire dancers from Mint Management.

Deputy town clerk Paul Fletcher said he was delighted with the success of the event.

“It was amazing, definitely the best one I have ever seen,” he said.

“It has been a really successful night and we have had a lot of positive feedback.”
