Teenage boy suffers head injury after being hit by car in Sunderland

Police and ambulance crews were called to Warwick Terrace at around 12.49pm on Saturday, September 12, following reports of a collision between a teenage boy and a car.
The North East Ambulance Service confirmed that the teenage boy was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital with a head injury.

Hide AdAn ambulance service spokeswoman said in a statement on Monday, September 14: “We were called at 12.38pm on Saturday, September 12, to a road traffic collision on Warwick Terrace, Sunderland, involving a teenager and a car.
"We dispatched a double-crewed ambulance and transported the teenage boy to Sunderland Royal Hospital with a head injury.”
A Northumbria Police spokesman added: “At 12.49pm on Saturday, September 12, we were alerted by the ambulance service to a collision involving a vehicle and a teenage boy on Warwick Terrace, Sunderland.
“Emergency services attended the scene.”
