Suspected arson attack on Sunderland house

Police are appealing for information after a fire at a house in Sunderland.

A report was received from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service at about 7pm yesterday, of a fire at a house on Ancona Street.

It is believed the fire may have been started deliberately and officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.

Extra officers are in the area as part of ongoing investigations.
