Fresh from supporting The Lake Poets at their Christmas show, singer-songwriter Tom Hawick will open the night with an acoustic guitar set.

Showcasing their recently-released debut EP, broke.fixed.pending, alt-rockers RMXS bring their infectious riffs and driving guitar sound to the evening.

Next up are Waste of Space, a dystopian-punk band who have been tipped as “ones to watch” in 2016.

Following them are Vito, formerly Tom Conway, who will revisit Independent after recently supporting Hyde and Beast there in December.

Headlining the night are Fire Lady Luck, a grunge band hailing from Wearside with a Green Day-influenced sound that has proven popular up and down the country.

Frontman Lewis Naylor Thubron said: “We’ve been gigging for eight years, but we’ve never sounded better.

“We have a new album and a new line-up, plenty to offer those looking to see us at Independent.

“We’ve heard of all of the other bands and listened to their recordings, but are yet to play with them live – which will make the gig just as exciting for us as it will be for the audience.”

The gig costs £4 on the door and kicks off at 7.30pm on Friday. For more information, visit www.forgottencityrecords.co.uk
