The Park secured promotion in Division Three, in their first season together, following a convincing 4-1 win over Wearmouth CW Juniors.

The Park had Ryan McCollin, Phillip Conlin and a double from Jordan Ayre to thank for their 20th league victory, and they can now look forward to life in the Second Division.

Dillon Clark was star man for The Park, while Mark Dickinson shone for Wearmouth, whose marksman was James Errington.

Second-top Grange Park, 10 points behind with four games in hand, soundly beat hosts Penshaw Catholic Club to keep their title hopes on track.

It finished 6-3, with Shaun Fisk hitting his usual treble, supported by strikes from Kieran Smith, Liam Grimes and Nath Groom.

Penshaw opened the scoring with an effort from star man Andrew Hayden, but not even a brace from Chris Jameson could let them take anything from the game.

Gary Harding ran the show for Grange Park.

The Dolphin suffered another defeat to keep them rooted to the foot of the table.

A hat- trick from Shaun Barras, supported by man of the match Dale Henderson’s strike, earned TC a narrow win. Chris Wilkin fired a double for Dolphin, with Darien Thompson also on target.

Callum Robinson shone for the hosts.

Millfield Oddies thought they were going to secure a much-needed win as they were cruising 3-1 up against Wear United, thanks to goals from star man Paul Maw (2) and Gavin Johnston.

But United roared back to claim a 3-3 draw. Player-manager Michael Smith popped up with a 20-yard piledriver to reduce the deficit, adding to Steven Barnes’ earlier effort.

Wear had the bit between the teeth and went searching for the equaliser, which duly came from star man Steven Keogh, who danced past four players before firing hard and low into the net.

United were pushing for the winner in the closing stages but ran out of time.

Farra Paragon ISL put a spanner in the works for TS Potters, whose Premier Division title ambitions were dealt a massive blow by a 1-0 away defeat.

A single Sam Robinson strike clinched all three points for the mid-table hosts.

TS Potters are still joint top, but leaders Hylton Castle TWR Bifold Doors have two games in hand and all to play for.

Alan Golightly and James Cassidy shone for Potters, while Richie Clark earned his stripes for Farra.

SR Dons are third, two points behind TS Potters, with a game more to play.

Farringdon Detached are looking to see their season out in style as they impressively outgunned Southwick 3-0 in their own backyard.

Carl Barnes, Jordan Wolfendale and Davey Stevens found the net in style to see the Farra lads home, with Sean Archbold outstandin.

Brad Wilson was Southwick’s top performer.

Hendon Athletic had a day to forget in the Total Sport Challenge Trophy as the Board Inn brushed them aside with ease.

Athletic opened the scoring thanks to a Tommy Wilkinson strike, but it all went downhill from there for the home side.

Micky Wharton and Liam Houghton both hit braces to inspire a 5-1 success for Board Inn, with Jordan Dagg finishing Hendon off.

Mitchell Young stood out for Board, with Tommy Scott starring for the hosts.
