Sunderland reveal their 2018/19 squad numbers - here's who will be wearing what

Sunderland have unveiled their squad numbers ahead of the new season - but who will be wearing what in the new League One campaign?

There are perhaps few surprises in Jack Ross’ number selections - although there are some changes.

The number one shirt occupied by Jason Steele last season will this year be worn by new signing Jon McLaughlin.

Fellow summer recruit Glenn Loovens takes the number four, while Alim Ozturk and Jack Baldwin take five and 15 respectively.

Dylan McGeouch wears seven as newly-appointed skipper George Honeyman is handed the number ten shirt.

Charlie Wyke, who only joined the club yesterday, takes the coveted number nine shirt.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, want-away duo Papy Djilobodji and Didier Ndong have not been handed numbers.
