Sunderland RCA welcome Black Cats to Meadow Park for pre-season friendly

Sunderland RCA have announced four pre-season friendlies '“ including a clash with Sunderland AFC '“ as they prepare for the 2016/17 Ebac Northern League Division One campaign.

Martin Swales’ side will visit Wearside League club Richmond Town on Saturday, July 16, then go to Wearside League neighbours Silksworth CW on Wednesday, July 27, before hosting Pickering Town at Meadow Park on Saturday, July 30.

Sunderland – who loaned keepers James Talbot and Michael Woud to RCA last season – head to Meadow Park on Wednesday, August 3, with a 7pm kick-off.

Meanwhile, RCA have appointed chiropractor Daniel Moore as their new head of medical services and performance.

West Auckland have a hectic pre-season, with 12 games planned.

They start off at home to Willington on Friday, July 8 and host Easington Colliery the next day. Their toughest task should be a trip to Workington on July 23.

Evo-Stik League Premier Division new boys Spennymoor Town have arranged four away friendlies against Northern League sides, including a trip to Seaham Red Star on Tuesday, July 19.

Moors also head to Marske United (July 16), Newton Aycliffe (July 26) and Guisborough (August 2).
