Sunderland housing firm Gentoo backs Portfolio awards
A Wearside housing firm is looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the region's talented firms.
Housing association Gentoo can be revealed as one of the super sponsors of this year’s Sunderland Echo Portfolio Business Awards.
John Craggs, chief executive of the firm which manages more than 28,000 homes, said: “Once again, we are delighted to be sponsoring the ‘Special Community’ category in Sunderland Echo’s Portfolio Business Awards.
“This event is a great way to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the business community. “There are so many talented individuals and innovative businesses in our city who not only make a huge impact to the local economy, they inspire future generations. “Good luck to all businesses and individuals who are nominated.”
Gentoo joins a host of Portfolio backers including our headline sponsor, Make it Sunderland.
They will sponsor our overall Business of the Year Award, as well as a Lifetime Achievement award, which is in the sponsor’s gift.
Make It Sunderland is also backing the contribution that social enterprises make to the city in the Social Enterprise Award.
Other sponsors are Maxim, Quayside Exchange, K&L Groundworks, UKasl, North East Business & Innovation Centre (BIC) Gentoo and Age UK Sunderland.
