Police have confirmed the 25-year-old from Biddick Woods was pulled over by officers in Newcastle on January 28.

The former St Anthony’s schoolgirl was given an 18-month driving ban in 2012 after police caught her at the wheel while twice the legal limit.

She pleaded guilty to drink-driving and was given a ban and a £250 fine. She was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 costs.

She issued an apology at the time, saying: “It was a very stupid and reckless thing to do. I’ve let myself down. It won’t happen again.”

A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: “On January 28 Charlotte-Letitia Crosby, 25, of Shiney Row, was charged with driving a motor vehicle while above the legal limit.”

She is due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on March 11.
