Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce revealed earlier this month that he was planning on taking his side to France as part of their preparations for the news season.

They will be based in the south-eastern region of the country for seven days and begin the trip with a game against FC Stade Nyonnais on Monday, July 25.

Allardyce’s side will then face Dijon FCO on Wednesday, July 27 and the tour is capped off with a fixture against Montpellier HSC, on Saturday, July 30.

The games are being played at neutral venues and not at the home stadia of the teams involved, given the issues with getting pitches ready after Euro 2016. Stadium and ticket details will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Sunderland had already announced friendliues against Hartlepool United on July 20, and Rotherham United on July 23.
