Sunderland AFC transfer news: Kaboul to join Watford, David Moyes press conference ahead of Middlesbrough


The Black Cats have reluctantly accepted a bid from the Hornets, believed to be around £3.5million, for the 30-year-old centre-back.
Kaboul, a key player in last season’s survival, expressed a desire to leave Wearside for personal reasons and move back to London.

Kaboul spoke with manager David Moyes over recent days to discuss his future. "This is not an easy situation for me, but the club and the manager have shown an understanding of my personal circumstances and I am grateful for that.
"The Sunderland fans have supported me fantastically well since I came to the club. They gave me my passion back and I sincerely thank them for that. "I hope they understand that I have made this incredibly difficult decision for me."Meanwhile, David Moyes will hold his pre-match press conference this afternoon ahead of the Wear-Tees derby against Middlesbrough on Sunday lunchtime (kick-off 1.30pm).
